Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has an international
reputation for design quality, environmental expertise
and architectural innovation. Established in 1978, it has
grown steadily to its present strength of 20 partners and
115 staff, with offices in Bath and London. Low energy,
sustainable design has been at the core of the practice
ethos since its foundation and FCBS is now established
as one of the country’s leading experts in the field, a
position recognised in 2003 when it became the first
architectural practice to be awarded the Queen’s Award
for Sustainable Development.
Design quality and a strong commitment to sustainability
have been recognised with a substantial number of
awards including 17 Civic Trust Awards, and 20 RIBA
Awards; most recently the Civic Trust Education Award
and the RIBA Sustainability Award in 2007 and the
British Council for Offices’ Innovation Award in 2006.
They were named Architect of the Year in the 2005 and
2004 Building Design Awards and were named as 7th
most respected architects in their 2006 World Architects
survey. FCBS continue to produce solutions that are
consistently at the forefront of current thinking.
